Multipurpose Treasure Hawk© |
El Dorado, fabled city of gold. Adventurers journeyed far and wide seeking the riches that it held. They traveled over some of the most difficult territory imaginable. The new Tesoro Eldorado metal detector captures those early adventurers' spirit and dedication. One of the most difficult things engineers face when designing a detector is which features to include. One combination may be OK for coin hunters but may not fit the needs of relic hunters. What satisfies the competition hunter does nothing for the prospector. The form, function and features determine the detector's place in the market. That is why most detectorists wind up with a couple of different detectors. Eldorado is designed to be a full function, all-purpose detector by stressing three design parameters: Adaptability, Sensitivity and Survivability. Adaptability Ground conditions have the biggest overall effect on the operation of a detector. Air tests are nice for showing what a detector might do, but working in the dirt is the true test of what a detector will do. Turn-on-and-go style detectors have their ground balance preset at the factory to work as best as they can in many different conditions. However, there will be some conditions that the machine may lose depth and sensitivity due to mineralization. Eldorado has a 3 3/4 - turn ground balance that is user-adjustable to match almost any surroundings that you may encounter. In our rapidly changing world, the chances for Radio Frequency (RF) interference increase almost daily. Power and data lines, mobile radios and cell phones are just a few of the real world problems that you might encounter. Also, working in close proximity with other detectorists may cause the machines to broadcast to each other. This is called crosstalk. Eldorado has a built-in user-controlled Frequency Shift that tells the microprocessor to change the detector's operation from 10.6 kHz to either 10.4 kHz or 10.2 kHz. These shifts are enough to let Eldorado work in and around a number of RF interference problem areas. Sensitivity Eldorado has several features that help the detectorist locate and pinpoint targets in the field. Eldorado's MAX Boost sensitivity control pushes the signal deeper ino the ground giving better depth and sensitivity to small targets. Tesoro's world renowned ED180 discrimination system creates a discrimination range from silent search all metal to the ability to tune out unwanted pull tabs and screw caps and everywhere in-between. Eldorado also combines the 9x8 spoked coil with microprocessor controlled VCO pinpointing to make pinpointing the target fast and easy. Survivability In the field, simplicity and ease of use
determine how much a detector gets used. Eldorado has no unnecessary
features. There are no extra meters, tones, or lights that take away
from the detector's function. Everything has been carefully picked and
balanced for optimum operation. Eldorado incorporates a digital battery
test that can be activated at any time while the detector is in use. Its
distinctive beeping tones let you know the exact strength of your
batteries. Eldorado comes on our three piece knock down pole, allowing
the detectorist to pack into areas that may prove cumbersome for other
detectors. Like every other Tesoro Metal Detector, Eldorado is
covered by Tesoro's Lifetime Warranty giving you peace of mind no matter where you
go. With Eldorado, you can seek your riches wherever the journey takes you.
