Aloha State

GOLD

Unfortunately, we were unable to find any record of naturally occurring gold in Hawaii.  The good news though, is that there is probably more gold jewelry on the beaches of Hawaii than the entire western or eastern coast of the continental US.  While researching this state, we were also unable to find any metal detecting clubs, websites, or any other indication that metal detecting is regularly conducted here - at least at the rate it's done in the rest of the country.  This is certainly good news though:  You have a gold mine waiting for you!

RELICS, COINS, & JEWELRY

Hawaii has been the #1 popular tourist destination of wealthy Americans and Asians for more than a hundred years.  Hawaii also has a rich history of early settlements and battle sites - the perfect combination for an energetic relic hunter!  From Captain Cook's voyages to early American colonists, there is a wealth of old coins, gold jewelry, and old artifacts.  Just to get you started, here's a few other ideas:

  • Schools and College Campuses
  • Parks / Playgrounds / Picnic Areas
  • Foundations, Wells, and Cellar Holes of Old Churches or Houses
  • Downtown Construction Sites
  • Swimming Holes, Beaches, and Natural Springs
  • Camp Grounds, Boy Scout Camps, and WPA Camps
  • Sports Facilities
  • Ghost Towns
  • Rodeo Arenas, Riding Stables, and Race Tracks
  • Old Fair and Carnival Locations
  • Old Town Dumpsites
